Kourtney Kardashian complains after Scott TV series is included in ‘fairy tale’ with Travis
Kourtney kardashian hope that viewers of The Kardashians will start focusing on how happy she is with Travis Barker, than any drama she might have had with her ex, Scott Disick. On the June 9 episode of the show, Kourt met her friend, Stephanie Shepherd, to discuss what filming the Hulu show has been like for her and Travis so far. “We filmed and we had the best time ever,” admitted Kourtney. “And then we watched the edits and we were very upset because they swept us into this drama.”
As the show’s executive producer, Kourtney got to see the footage she and her family shot. That’s when she saw footage from episode where Travis proposed make her uncomfortable. Although there were clips from the proposal and the aftermath, there were also a lot of people talking about how Scott can feel about Kourtney getting engaged.
“The editors or whoever is looking at it as, ‘Let’s take Kourtney – she’s the one who got cast in the TV series,’” Kourtney explained. “That night [of the engagement], I’m not like, ‘God, everyone is such an asshole for bringing this up.’ That was not part of the night. It’s like, two seconds in the night. I didn’t even remember it until I watched a cut of the episode.”
In a confessional, she added, “I’m in one of the best places I’ve ever been in my life and it’s about time our show caught up. It triggers this old story and buys something that doesn’t really exist. It has to be an empowering episode about me getting out of toxic relationships and actually having this fairy-tale love story. THAT is my reality”. Kourtney explained that the Scott movie takes up “50% of the episode”, which is incorrect. “I wish they would take it out and put it in the next episode and give us our respect,” she said. “Let us have our moment.”
“I was like, ‘Why aren’t fairy tales told?’ It’s a real fairy tale,” Kourtney told Steph. “I don’t want to sound tactless, but like you said to me on the phone, ‘Why don’t people empower you and celebrate that you’ve done all this work for years and now. get the relationship you deserve?’ How can this be done in a negative way? We didn’t realize we were filming and people were commenting on us.” She also pointed out that she and Scott are “all well” and have been broken up for seven years. “I am allowed to create new memories and a new way of doing things!” she concluded.
The plot definitely broke the fourth wall, and we’ll have to wait and see if the show picks up on Kourtney’s hints going forward. The Kardashians airs every Thursday on Hulu.
