Restless Road Tap song from ‘Country JoBro’ Compare and reveal new music that will become a ‘hot pot’ for their story
Road without rest rose to fame in 2013 after placing fourth in the third season of The X Factor. As we all know, Nashville can be a town of 10 years, and the trio has had setbacks along the way. However, at the start of the pandemic, their luck came when they were signed on Kane Browntheir label and started to find great success on TikTok, sharing their own music as well as popular, verified covers. The current, band member Zach Beeken, Garrett Nicholsand Pack Colton took their music to the streets on their Bar Friends tour and even tapped Jonas Brothers program comparison.
“First of all, we are fans! We’ve always been fans,” Zach told HL in an EXCLUSIVE interview backstage at the Gramercy Theater during the Bar Friends tour. “I mean, who isn’t a fan?” Garrett added. “We started to notice that when the three of us would hang out anywhere, people would say, ‘Are you guys brothers?’ Or they’ll ask, ‘Are you like the country, Jonas Brothers?’ Especially when we were Bachelor,” explains Colton. “We thought it was hilarious, so we thought we’d create a little bit of that throughout our show and it was really fun.”
With their electronic harmonies and synchronicity reminiscent of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons, Restless Road breaks into the Jonas Brothers’ “Burnin ‘Up” right in the middle of their setting. “It was a really fun moment on our show. I think people are thinking that, so we just wanted to give people what they want and also to mock themselves,” Garrett told HL.
When it comes to their own music, Restless Road revealed that they’ve been testing out a number of new songs for their fans during the tour, in addition to performing nine songs from their 2020 EP. “All the music that we put out is really about the three of us. We all come from different upbringings, so we all bring different things and in most songs there is a lot of truth,” said Colton. “It may not be true for all three of us, but it is the story of either of us. Of everything we put out, it has to mean something to us at the end of the day. If it doesn’t, then why do we say it? “
Garrett added that the trio “looks at the success of some of the biggest country bands, like Zac Brown Band, Alabamaor Brooks & Dunn“For inspiration for their next big hit. “You can see they like, a song for this and a song for that… and sometimes we start that way when we make new music,” he said.
We’ll be sure to keep an eye out for more Restless Road tunes, but in the meantime be sure to stream their music and see if they perform in a city near you this summer. their Bar Friends tour!
