Sarah Ali Khan – the name needs no introduction. Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh’s daughter have been the center of town since her debut in the industry. For starters, Sara made her debut with Abhishek Kapoor’s Kedarnath opposite Sushant Singh Rajput and left a mark on the audience. We all loved Princess Pataudi’s performance as Mukku. In fact, Sara has proven her mettle time and time again on the big screen and watching her perform is a treat. We recently had a reverse interview about Sara in which she talks about her parents’ reaction to her decision to star in the film.
Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh’s reaction
Talk to Filmfare, Sara revealed that before her image of a nerd and her devotion to studies, her parents Saif and Amrita were quite surprised. “What shocked them was the fact that this nerd, who loved to learn, wanted to act. But my parents weren’t hypocrites. This industry has given them all they have. They are aware of and appreciate it. They love the job; they believe it is the best thing to do. But you need a sense of balance when you are part of this world. They know that with their support, I will be able to sustain that,” she added. Sara also added that she has always wanted to be an actress and often dances to Bollywood songs or imitates commercials at home.
Sara Ali Khan works the front
Speaking of the work side, Sara was last seen in Aanand L Rai’s 2021 release Atrangi Re alongside Akshay Kumar and Dhanush. She recently finished filming Laxman Utekar’s next scene with Vicky Kaushal, marking her first collaboration with Uri: The Surgery Strike. Sara even wrote a letter to Vicky and wrote, “Every day with you on set is an exciting thing. From enjoying Punjabi songs and bonfires to early morning drives and bountiful cups of bottles. Thank you for making this journey so memorable for me. You are one of the most humble, talented and gifted actors I have ever met, and I am honored to share the screen space with you and learn so much from you.” Sara is currently working on Gaslight with Vikrant Massey and Chitrangada Singh.
