Manushi Chhillar all set to make her big Bollywood debut in Samrat Prithviraj with Akshay Kumar in the lead role. The film is based on the life of Prithviraj Chauhan, a Rajput king from the Chahamana dynasty. She will take on the role of Princess Sanyogita in the film, while Akshay plays Prithviraj Chauhan. The historical drama is directed by Chandraprakash Dwivedi and produced by Yash Raj Films.
Now, in an exclusive chat with Pinkvilla, Manushi opened up about working with Akshay, YRF, and director for the first time. She said, “I’m not the first Yash Raj has come out and I’m not the first that a Mr. Akshay is working with because they also know the kind of challenge you’re facing. They also know what kind of challenge you’re facing. it’s very comfortable for you, but I’ve always enjoyed a challenge in life and I think that’s when you’re an adult I think somewhere has helped me I don’t know if it’s overwhelming but I feel felt a responsibility to work on a movie like this, work with high profile people like these, and most importantly portray such an important character like this.”
Furthermore, she also recalled her first day at the shooting and said, “I actually filmed with Ashutosh Rana and Sakshi Tanwar and they are seasoned actors and they are playing my parents in this movie. It’s the longest and heaviest scene I’ve had and that’s really an argument I’m having with him and Ashutosh, sir when he’s in the role, you’re usually scared. sweet. During the shoot, whatever, whenever we could practice, they were always ready. I also had a great interaction with them. My first day was understanding a lot. more about the technical stuff, understanding the camera, the lighting, the focus and everything else. It’s a very different experience. I never thought it would take as much as a career.”
Meanwhile, Samrat Prithviraj also stars Sanjay Dutt, Sonu Sood, Manav Vij, Ashutosh Rana and Sakshi Tanwar among other key characters. It is slated to release on June 3, 2022.
